The Uglified Ducky: A Maynard Moose Tale by Willy Claflin

In the Northern Piney Woods of Alaska, a baby moose is raised by a family of ducks who try to teach him to waddle, quack, and fly but cannot see his true beauty. (A version of The Ugly Duckling)

  1. This was a cute version of the fairy tale The Ugly Duckling. The language used was a little confusing at first, but then you could really hear Maynard Moose's voice coming out.***

This book made me laugh becuse his fambly of ducks thought he was a ugllified duck(but really he was a moose). The docter duck made him hold up a sign that said "QUACK" because he couldn't pronounce the word Quack. But then finally he found his real family and they loved him just the way he was.I loved this creative version of the ugly duckling.
